A lot of editing functions are put at your disposal by OpenCanvas. Load a photo into this graphic editor and you can draw on it, crop it, add custom text, flip and rotate it, or add one of multiple filters. To put it bluntly, openCanvas has plenty of editing functions to offer and despite being a feature-rich editor, it remains user friendly. Novices will find this application quite easy to use and experienced users will find that the openCanvas graphic editor for Windows has lots of useful functionality to offer.

The openCanvas installer is little over 4MB in size. Downloading this installer won’t take long, even if you are on a less than spectacular internet connection. The same goes for getting openCanvas up and running. A simple wizard will help you install the editor on your Windows-powered machine. Please note that you will be installing a trial version that is free to use for a lengthy period of 120 days.

The interface is just what you would expect from an application of this sort. Load an image you want to edit and it will be presented front and center on the interface. Options to edit the image you loaded are presented all around it. If you’ve ever used a graphic editor before, you would immediately feel at home with openCanvas.

There is a lot you can do to an image once you load it into openCanvas: draw with a pencil, pen or airbrush, crop, rotate, flip, print preview, print, undo/redo, blur, emboss, posterize, and more. The simple truth of the matter is that there are numerous editing functions to access. Once you’re done using said tools to edit your photo, you can save your work as an openCanvas project or you can export it as a BMP, JPEG, PNG, or PSD.

As mentioned above, openCanvas is free to use for a lengthy evaluation period of 120 days. The functions are unlocked during the trial period. Once said trial period is over, the software will not start.

openCanvas has a familiar interface layout; from said interface you can easily access lots and lots of useful editing functions.

Pros

Downloading and installing openCanvas will take little of your time. You will immediately feel at home with the interface. There are lots of useful editing features that you can access from this interface. openCanvas is free to use for a lengthy trial period of 120 days.
